Matthew Blake

Senior Wealth Management Advisor

Matt brings a 20-year career in the financial services industry to Wambolt & Associates. As a Senior Wealth Management Advisor, he is responsible for building the vision of Wambolt & Associates with our unique multi-advisor approach. His focus is on business development and forging lasting relationships with our clients and their families.

Matt takes great pride in the ‘team’ environment that Wambolt & Associates offers their clients. He works alongside our team of advisors, CPA and attorney to address his client’s financial needs. Throughout his career, Matt has enjoyed working with his clients as their trusted fiduciary. Every recommendation that he makes is specific to the client, and only in their best interest. Two key values that he focuses on with every client are education and empowerment. His goal is for clients to know ‘what they own and why they own it’ and to have a plan that will enable them to ultimately reach their goals. Matt has worked with many of the most respected investment and brokerage firms throughout his career in a variety of leadership roles. This includes Prudential Securities, Charles Schwab, Jackson National and Capital Investment Counsel. Most recently, Matt helped build a boutique Registered Investment Advisory firm (My Portfolio Guide, LLC), working primarily with clients in the Rocky Mountain region.

When Matt is not helping his clients and their families, he spends his time with his two active children, Jackson and Campbell. They enjoy exploring Colorado, fly fishing, camping, hiking, skiing and traveling. He is involved in youth sports, helping coach Jackson’s football team and cheering on Campbell’s soccer team.
