Doing the right thing for clients 100 percent of the time is the Wambolt & Associates mantra that resonates with the firm’s tax analyst Evan Coats. Evan enjoys the challenge of identifying opportunities to minimize the tax burden on clients who are saving for retirement, considering new investment strategies, or seeking to defer taxes on capital gains.
Evan stays current on tax policy and IRS rules so he can be a valuable resource to help both individual and business clients take advantage of tax efficiencies throughout the year – avoiding unwelcome surprises at tax filing time. His 30-plus years of experience have taught him to be discerning when determining how best to meet clients’ objectives.
Working at a firm with a culture that emphasizes customer service and innovation is a great fit for Evan. “The ‘Wambolt Way’ is collaborative, supportive, forward looking and client centric,” he says. “It is a positive, intelligent culture based on a sound methodology and a thoughtful approach.”
Outside of the office, Evan spends his time renovating an old cabin in Evergreen. He likes to cook and is an active community volunteer. Evan is a graduate of Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, and is completing his master’s degree in accounting at the University of Colorado, Denver.
